ìRead to Meî is a visual celebration of why reading matters to Melanie Lukens-Bober. Her mother, Patricia Lukens, commemorated Melanieís love for books in this scrapbook, whose photographs and graphics document Melanieís growth from a rapt listener to a girl reading to herself. ìOnce Upon a Time,î mentioned on the right page in the photo, was a bookstore owned by her grandmother, the historian Natalie Bober.
